NSW Alpine held its Annual General meeting (AGM) and Presentation evening on Saturday 29 October 2016 to acknowledge, congratulate and award the outstanding results of NSW Alpine athletes over the year.
There was a record attendance of over 100 families and athletes attending. We would like to thank the families who joined us for the occasion from Queensland and Jindabyne.
We were honoured on the night to have the late William Robert “Bob”Arnott’s wife, Simone Arnott and daughter Adrienne present. His son Axel Arnott was unable to attend. Adrienne gave a wonderful speech honouring her father’s life, he was a true legend of NSW Alpine skiing, competing in the 1952 Olympics and assisting in the development of the Federation International Ski (FIS) competition algorithm used to this day. Adrienne’s speech will be uploaded in the near future on the NSW Alpine’s website with a tribute to William Robert “Bob”Arnott.
